INTO THE WILD CAMPING
Amazon Gateway Experience · 3–8 Days
Sleep beneath the rainforest canopy. Wake with the sounds of the Amazon.
Not every traveler wants the comfort of a jungle lodge.
Some seek something simpler, quieter, and closer to nature.
Into the Wild Camping Gateway Experiences are designed for travelers who want to experience the Peruvian Amazon through fully camping-based adventures, spending their days exploring remote rivers, rainforest trails, blackwater lagoons, and wildlife habitats while sleeping outdoors beneath the jungle sky.
Led by experienced local guides, these journeys combine adventure, wildlife observation, river exploration, camp life, and authentic immersion in one of the world's most extraordinary ecosystems. Along the way, guests may learn practical jungle skills, discover medicinal plants, explore remote waterways by canoe, visit traditional riverside communities, and gain a deeper appreciation for how life unfolds within the rainforest.
Whether you choose three days or extend your adventure to eight, every itinerary is built around the same philosophy:
Experience more by living closer to nature.

WHAT MAKES THIS EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT?
Unlike our Lodge-Based Gateway Experiences, these journeys are entirely camping-focused.
Instead of returning each evening to an eco-lodge, you'll establish camp in carefully selected rainforest locations, allowing you to experience the jungle after sunset—when the forest reveals a completely different world.
Depending on the itinerary selected, additional days may include survival demonstrations, primitive shelter building, raft construction using natural materials, traditional fishing techniques, botanical walks focused on medicinal plants, and extended exploration of remote rainforest environments rarely visited by conventional tourism.
This style of travel offers a stronger sense of adventure while remaining professionally guided and safety-focused.
