A Personal Review & Alignment Process
Amazon Expeditioners experiences are intentionally different from conventional Amazon tourism. Our expeditions take place in remote rainforest environments and are led by Indigenous hunters whose knowledge, traditions, and way of life are an essential part of the experience.
Because of the nature of these expeditions, participation begins with a personal review rather than an instant booking.
This allows us to understand your experience, expectations, preferred travel dates, physical readiness, and reasons for wanting to join, while also helping us determine which program and expedition format may be the best fit for you.
Our goal is not simply to accept or decline requests. It is to make sure that the experience you are seeking and the experience we provide are genuinely aligned.
Before You Request
Before submitting your expedition request, please make sure you have reviewed the program information and Preparation & Readiness materials.
These expeditions involve remote rainforest conditions, changing weather, limited infrastructure, uncertainty, and a level of flexibility that is different from conventional tourism.
Participants should be comfortable with the following:

Spending extended periods in remote rainforest environments

Adapting to changing weather, river conditions, and daily circumstances

Following the guidance and boundaries established by Indigenous hunters and local communities

Approaching the experience with respect, patience, curiosity, and an open mind

Participating in an experience that is not scripted or designed around guaranteed activities or outcomes

Understanding that the Amazon has its own rhythm and that plans may sometimes change according to real conditions

How the Request & Booking Process Works
Our process is simple and personal. There are four steps from your initial request to your confirmed expedition.
STEP 1 — Submit Your Request
To begin the process, please complete our Expedition Request Form.
You will provide:

Full name, phone number, email, and age

Physical condition and outdoor background

Preferred program and duration
-
Personal motivation and intentions
-
Relevant medical considerations for jungle environments

Required program acknowledgments
Submission of this form initiates the Alignment Review.
Availability, pricing, and booking details are not shared prior to formal submission.
STEP 2 — Personal Review & Alignment
Your request is reviewed by the Amazon Expeditioners hunter's team
Once we receive your request, our team personally reviews the information you provide. Depending on your program and circumstances, we may also discuss your request directly with you to better understand your expectations, experience, and preferred travel window.
If your request is approved, we'll provide the appropriate program information, available dates, rates, and instructions for the next step.
If we determine that the experience is not an appropriate fit, we will let you know directly. Because every situation is different, we may not always be able to provide detailed explanations regarding an individual suitability decision.
STEP 3 — Reservation & Deposit
If you choose to proceed:

A secure payment link is issued

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your seat

Upon receipt, your expedition is formally confirmed

Field permits and logistical preparations begin immediately
At this stage, the expedition dates and group composition are finalized.
STEP 4 — Confirmation & Final Preparation
Once your reservation is confirmed, we'll provide your Welcome & Orientation Package, Personal & Travel Information Form, and Medical & Travel Risk Acknowledgement Form
The Personal & Travel Information Form anlong with your Medical & Travel Risk Acknowledgement Form must be completed and returned no later than 3 weeks before the beginning of your expedition. This information allows our team to finalize the necessary preparations for your arrival and time in the rainforest.
IMPORTANT — ADVANCE NOTICE REQUIRED
A minimum of 4 weeks' notice is required when submitting a Hunter-Led Expedition request. Longer programs and private expeditions may require additional preparation time.
In exceptional circumstances, requests submitted 2–4 weeks before the desired departure date may be considered if a suitable expedition is already being organized and there is sufficient time to complete the personal review, preparation, and logistical requirements.
Requests submitted less than 2 weeks before departure generally cannot be accommodated. Please plan accordingly before submitting your request.
