Tahuayo Crossing Expedition 7 Days; This expedition will be based mainly on the exploration and crossing of the Tahuayo ecosystem both by land undertaking long treks through primary jungle, and by rivers paddling wooden canoes, all in a quite express way. Intended more for the adventurer who seeks to challenge themselves facing the demands of its complex crossing geographical terrain in a given time. We will find a great opportunity to appreciate a wide variety of fauna and flora during this remote jungle crossing..

As an initial introduction on this expedition, we'll be conducting 2 - 3 Days of Jungle Trek through primary jungle until we reach our first destination "The Tahuayo River". During this jungle trek our nights as well as the rest of the nights ahead, will be spent in different jungle sites, exploring and conducting at the same time a considerably variety of jungle survival activities moving like nomads.

It was established by the Peruvian Ministry of Environment (MINAM) Ministerio del Ambiente on May 15, 2009. The reserve is managed and funded by the Regional Government of Loreto.

It is known for its abundant wildlife. It has high levels of biodiversity. Hundreds of species of mammals, primates, birds, fish and reptiles have been documented, including several that are endemic as well as either endangered or threatened.

The reserve was established to conserve ecosystems of upland and floodable rainforests, as well as ecological and evolutionary processes of the area, guaranteeing the sustainable use of the wildlife by the local population.
