Our Basic Amazon Survival 8D / 7N is a training expedition that focuses on learning and perfecting basic and extremely essential native Amazon survival techniques, lived daily in a real, remote and not-so-welcoming scenario. This short expedition will also have the purpose of giving the participants the confidence necessary to survive for longer periods of time, in unexpected situations within very unique and isolated territories, such as the Amazon jungle.
We recommend to all participants to always bear in mind that any expedition that our team leads within a very familiar and common environment of ours, and also the levels of difficulty that may seem moderate and normal to us, for those who are not accustomed to this complex terrain could give the impression of being very hard or extreme.
IMPORTANT TIPS ABOUT YOUR EXPEDITION:
BOOKING IN ADVANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (for collection of personal information, government access permits to protected areas, transportation arrangements, exploration team assignments, English Speaking Guides availability, and all logistics support needed).
Participants need to have sufficient time in Iquitos, in order to successfully execute this training evolution.
AMAZON EXPEDITIONERS will provide the following gear to each participant (jungle boots, machete, rain ponchos, mats, tactical tents) 5 kilos approx.
Explorations through the jungle during this evolution, will require for each participant to carry their own personal gear and, to maximize your experience be at the least in a decent physical condition to accomplish each available activity.
Weather conditions will not be an obstacle for the completion of every scheduled survival activity.
